  • Alina Gozin’a, a renowned photographer & artist, who left a corporate career in banking & finance at PwC, to become a leading global creative. She’s lived and worked in Odessa, Berlin, LA & New York and now calls Sydney home; she is known for creating some of the most iconic AFR Magazine covers of notable figures like Scott Farquhar, Frank Lowy, Andrew Forrest, Anthony Pratt, Kevin Rudd, Judith Neilson, Canva's co-founders Melanie Perkins & Cliff Obrecht; and Oscar winners Alicia Vikander and Emile Sherman, to mention a few. Her artwork has been in solo exhibitions nationally and internationally. Alina’s new solo exhibition, Sydney Love Stories, opens in May 2024.

    Her passion for storytelling led her to pursue a postgraduate degree in Media Arts and Production at UTS. She went on to become a Cannes Lions nominated, award-winning creative, harnessing the innovative powers of photography, film, and art to tell stories for global corporations and her art.

    She has executed brand and visual transformation campaigns for global organisations such as HBO (NYC and LA), Tribeca Film (NYC), Stan, Grey (NYC), Madame Figaro (FRANCE/NYC), Forbes, AFR Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, GQ, SMH, Good Weekend Magazine, Universal Music, Sony Pictures, Sony Music, Warner Bros (NYC), BMF, ABC, SBS, Channel 9, Westfield NYC, Scentre Group, QIC, Lend Lease, Mirvac, Walker Corp, Charter Hall, Dexus Property Group, Cbus Property to mention a few.

    Alina’s business acumen, along with her creative approach, uniquely positions her to bridge the gap between art, technology, and commerce, leading an applied and inspiring conversation on Creative Intelligence.

    Alina is a reputed creative and speaker. While her work features in magazines around the world, she is increasingly sought for her stories inspiring creativity. She been interviewed on ABC Breakfast News, numerous radio stations and podcasts. She has also featured AFR magazine and AFR newspaper, SMH, and in other media. More recently, Alina has extended her work into education where she has been invited to talk and run workshops about Creative Intelligence. In 2022, she was part of the TEDxSydney exploring the topic of Hybrid Work, The Belonging Imperative. She is a founder of The Art of Seeing and she’s conducted Creative Intelligence training sessions for PwC, Mastercard, Deloitte, Oracle, G100, Charter Hall, UTS and many other organisations.

    As an educator and cultural leader, Alina shines a light on the creative process through her learnings on photoshoots of high-profile personalities as well as those living on the fringe of society. Her foundational message resonates across audiences as she champions the often unseen role of intent, trust, vulnerability and building of intuitive confidence.

    Alina is committed to her work with community organisations that focus on helping underprivileged youth: Art Start in NY, I-Manifest and MMAD in partnership with Universal Music in Sydney. She has also done work with R U OK and The Royal Hospital for Women Foundation.

    In December 2023, Alina was appointed as an Industry Advisory Board Member atUTS - TD SCHOOL (Transdiciplinary Innovation).

SHANE CURREY

Shane Currey is an Australian designer, facilitator, presenter, artist, want-to-be anthropologist and teacher. A recently retired partner from Deloitte Consulting, leading a part of the practice that focused on human-centred design, culture and leadership development.

Shane serves as an official ambassador at Good Design Australia, a speaker at VIVID Ideas Sydney, Judge at the Victorian Premier's Design Awards and presenter at TEDX Brisbane titled ‘Creativity, it's in everyone'. He began his career at one of London's largest publishing houses, Euromoney, which was a convergence of creative direction, media, public relations and luxury brands.

Shane then made the pivot towards management consulting through studying Design Thinking at Stanford in 2007, it is at this point where his passion for creativity in business began. Shane draws on his diverse background to bring people, business and creativity together through building strategic narratives to drive change and to humanise life at work.

Alina takes you 'behind the scenes' of her famous photoshoots and breaks down how she created these images to tell a particular story. She presents her magazine covers, artworks and architectural projects she had shot - all as a point of reference for creative process.

Shane then translates how this way of seeing applies to the workplace of the 21st century, vital skills in a highly competitive and volatile world. Alina and Shane will awaken your senses and fire up your “right-brain” abilities. 

This workshop is about making the familiar strange and the stranger familiar. You will learn how to see the world differently!

DR. BARBARA DORAN

Barbara is the Director of the CISI (Creative Intelligence and Strategic Innovation) program at the internationally awarded TD School, University of Technology (UTS). 

A renaissance woman with an extensive creative and educational portfolio ranging across psychology, neuroscience, sociology, urban planning, design and the arts.

Barbara brings to life nuanced ‘aha’ understandings of creativity in action and her expertise is sought at the cutting edge of arts, science and innovation.

She works with globally acclaimed intuitions and projects including Australia’s leading performing arts conservatoire NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Arts) and SPHERE – a frontier health program.

As a transdisciplinary artist, she has twice won the United Nations Bioethics and Art Award for Photography and displayed her work on both the national and international stage. 

Barbara ignites the vital power of creativity. She expands our understanding of the mind and plugs you into possibilities you have never considered before.
